Being a woman is very special.
I always knew that, but there was a time I didn't think I was.
For me, it was that moment, when I felt the tiny kick of my first baby inside of me,
I embraced and thanked I was a woman of special divine gifts.
I was twenty-one years old... I was just a baby myself!
I was so fascinated that I hardly noticed I was alone in my journey to Motherhood. Each and every moment was so beautiful. Each and every day was amazing. Colors of the world were so much more vibrant. I felt the warm sun kissing my belly and the wind dancing around me. All my essences are blossoming and I was experiencing my full expression of love and blessing.
It was SO supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I had so much fun being pregnant and giving birth that I went on to have 3 more babies!!
First birth was adventurous. The second time was peaceful and the fourth, the last one, was all about grace.
And like everyone says, the third time is the charm – my favorite.
My older boys were just turning 3 and 1 when I got pregnant with my third child. As you can imagine, I was running after the two little boys 24/7 and still breastfeeding. No morning sickness. I had full energy and I was glowing beautifully than ever before. It was GREAT! The boys and I loved the prenatal visits with our midwife who lived a couple hours away in the delightful countryside. I can still recall that fun train rides we took.
We were enjoying the end of summer and feeling the fall arriving. I remember catching dragonflies with the boys. And it was before dawn on Saturday morning, I woke up with my birth sign. Happiness and calmness filled my being. Contractions were coming fast, but I took my time taking the bath, adoring morning dews in the garden, and enjoying breakfast with the boys. The oldest was so tickled pink and running around everywhere. The second one just sat on my lap and we held onto each other with such affection. I can just close my eyes and I can still feel that perfect wholeness.
It was the most magical birth. I didn't want it to end. I was in the light so peaceful, felt my baby turning inside of me, being ready for the world. I loved every moment of it. The both of my sons were there with me the whole time, so excited, enjoying, asking all kinds of questions and our loving midwife answering to all. And there he was, a tiny 5 pounder. The house was filled with his precious smell and everyone's eyes were filled with joy, happiness, and love.
So you see, this is not only my son's birth story. It is MY birth story. Because a very special woman was born that day ;)
